Waterside

A seafront property, it overlooks the town’s extensive sandy beach and the Irish Sea. To the north lie Lancaster, Morecambe and the Lake District, while the popular resorts of Blackpool and Lytham St Annes lie just a few miles to the south. Closer still are all of Cleveleys’ own attractions and amenities: shops and supermarkets, a cinema and a wealth of bars and restaurants.

Overview

Waterside is situated on the South Promenade in Cleveleys, a small town on Lancashire’s Fylde Coast.

The property previously served as a nursing home but it is now the subject of an ambitious conversion scheme that will see the creation of 29 high quality apartments. Upon completion, they will offer buyers and tenants some of the most desirable modern accommodation in the town.

Waterside stands at the intersection of the SouthPromenade and Coronation Road, which runs parallel to the town’s main high street, Victoria Road West. The town also boasts parks and woodland, numerous tourist attractions and entertainments, but two of its greatest draws are undoubtedly its attractive beach and promenade. In fact, the unusual design of its modern seafront was the reason it was recently chosen as the setting for a key scene in the Star Wars spin-off series, Andor.

Just a short (75m) walk away, Victoria Road West is a thoroughfare that features shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants, as well as essential facilities such as banks, building societies and a post office. It also intersects with the town’s heritage tramway; a popular and effective form of local public transport that runs from Fleetwood in the north all the way to the tram depot at Blackpool’s southern end.

Fitted out with sleek modern appliances and built to the latest standards for energy efficiency, all the apartments will have a thoroughly contemporary feel. Safe, secure and cheap to run, they adhere to designs that put an emphasis on style and 21st century living.

Ideal for individuals, couples and small families, the unit sizes will range between 40 and 103 square metres, with prices varying accordingly.

Summary

Cleveleys is a compact but self-contained town in its own right, so many residents won’t have to travel far for work, shopping, education or other everyday activities.

However, it’s one of the town’s strengths that it lies so close to other Fylde Coast  communities. This whole stretch of coastline is one of Britain’s most popular tourist destinations and the focus is, of course, Blackpool. Post-pandemic, it has been attracting around 19 million visitors each year; people drawn to such well-known attractions as the Pleasure Beach, Blackpool Tower, the Winter Gardens and a very vibrant nightlife. Just a little further to the south lie Lytham and St Annes – both attractive coastal resorts with excellent beaches, amusements and a wide choice of cafes, bars and restaurants.
